I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in the mental health field. I have worked with children, parents, and families. I have worked with crisis clients and am interested in trauma work. I specialize in working with teenagers who have experienced trauma and are experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, increased anger, and life transitions.
I have the experience and offer parent and family work. Most often using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing with clients. I use a person-centered approach tailoring to each client’s individual needs combined with a strengths-based approach when working with clients.
I have previous experience in community-based settings. I previously led weekly social skills groups specific to youth diagnosed with Autism. This experience taught me how to be creative and learn how to adapt to multiple clients’ needs.
